guten tag. after some adventures with our flight, we're catching the night train to prague tonight. i was there almost 10 years ago and am anxious to see how much it has changed. then who knows.
sorry for the random capitalization. the keyboard here is a challenge for me.
our airplane was intended to be short hop to get us going. we were on the outbound runway about 40 minutes (an hour if you count how early we boarded!). then we circled the frankfurt main airport for so long that our plane had to land nearby for REFUELING. we landed in the proper airport about 3 hours late. whatever.
upon arrival at the central train station, we've been walking around absorbing the town, looking for food, looking for shade and internet.
we had some assistance in the airport booking rail tickets onward. more later.
===RULE 3=== Spend one hour apart every day.
This is my own rule picked up from an airline magazine years ago. we haven't been doing it so far, but its nice to have it on the books.
Anyone have any suggestions for travel rules?
We have really benefitted from the hospitality of our loved ones so far on this trip. Laundry, beds, meals, internet access, good times, etc... not in that order!
I am a big fan of London, baby. A week catching up with family and friends and easing into the pace of travel was great. Thanks to DC for opening his home and hosting a little garden party with some of my favorite London residents...
While in town, we climbed around old trolleys, trams, tubes, and carriages at the London Transport Museum; ate vegan delights in Neal's Yard; walked back and forth across the Millenium footbridge over the Thames; and hung out our wet washing across all of Dylan's bannisters, railings, and chairs.
I am hot and thirsty... must find soft drink.
