After a nice visit with Kristyn and Paul in Leeds, we're back in London.
Kristyn and Paul hosted us in Leeds last night. After the best part of the day riding the rails, we were greeted by Paul's charming sons and some 'tea' (tea is the name for what we call dinner while dinner is the name for what we call lunch).
Alec and I wanted to create a simple triangle with our UK tour by going due west from London to Cardiff then northeast to Leeds (in order to avoid going from Cardiff all the way east back to London and then north to Leeds). Our railroad adventure had us transferring 3 different times to four different trains in about 5 or 6 hours - oh well. Today, we were much smoother.
As Andy says, "it's not failure, it's research."
My pal Dylan has invited us to stay with him for the next three nights in North London... we have been very lucky to have friends and family greet us so warmly all around this chilly UK summer.
