I am standing with my neck craned reading a monitor one meter above my head in the middle of a bar in our latest hostel. Alec is making friends. He might be in heaven here.
The hostel alone offers rafting, canyoning, "airsoft", and paintball. We are in lovely lake town at the base of the Julian Alps having spent the previous night and day in Maribor, Slovenia's wine country.
We never did find the wine tasting there, but we wandered through some very beautiful vineyards... following signs (in Slovene) to what we thought were wineries only to find two large dogs and a topless woman on her roof. We shied away and hiked back to town.
We have the next few days here in Bled... then on to Munich then Frankfurt where we leave for Cape Town on Monday. At least I think it is Monday... good thing I write this stuff down. ha!
